Day 4 - Coulee Dam, WA - Spokane, WA

We thought today would have been an easier ride - shorter and less climbing. Hi temps and headwinds, along with an absence of the gorgeous scenery we've seen the past 2 days made it more challenging. Still it was nice to ride with the group. We've enjoyed riding with the people we've met: Mike and his 16 year old son Caelan (who has unlimited energy, and incredible potential on the bike), Greg and his son Zach (who ride a tandem), Lance, Rose & Art, Cindy & John (riding a beautiful, custom tandem) and many others. Today we rode with cycling legends Lon (Haldeman) for a bit and then from the last rest stop to our hotel, we rode with Susan (Notorangelo). We capped the day off with a great dinner at Wild Sage Bistro in downtown Spokane.

ps - Shuli wants to ride RAAM with Susan… on a tandem. Susan replied "there's more fun things we can do" :)

87 miles
3661 ft. of climbing

Climbing out of Coulee Dam - the relentless 10 mile climb.

"Wheat, fields of wheat, cream of wheat..."

Summit!

Canola Fields - beautiful color.
