In preparing for our upcoming summer PacTour cycling trip, we trained regularly and rode while traveling for work or family events. Here are some of the highlights.
- Las Vegas Gran Fondo
- Rt. 74 from Palm Desert, CA (a beyond category climb we did while attending Coachella Music Festival)
- Morgan Territory & Mt. Diablo (Walnut Creek, CA)
- Kings Ridge (northern CA) with our friend Mark Gunther.
Enjoy the pics.
Red Rock Canyon - who knew such beauty was in Las Vegas?

The happy couple :)
This is the first intersection we reached after climbing 25 miles. Thankfully there was a restaurant there.
After the ride at the Coachella Valley Music Festival. Party on. (click the panoramic picture).
Beautiful Morgan Territory Road (and the lovely Shuli)
About to descend the steep side.
The view from the top of Mt. Diablo, one of the few mountain tops to offer a 360 degree view.
Coming up Kings Ridge from the south. One of the most beautiful stretches of road I have ever ridden.
Find the road.
At Stewart Point we turned south on PCH (Rt. 1). Always beautiful and inspiring.
