Day 7 - Thompson Falls, MT - Missoula, MT

Today's route was changed last minute due to road conditions and construction. The mileage for the day remained approximately the same, and at this point small changes to mileage or elevation gain don't mean that much. We were hoping to see Big Horn Sheep. But alas, we did not. We rode quite a bit through the plains so the ride was relatively flat with expansive views all around. We stopped at an old log cabin schoolhouse.

Lon has a way of finding these great frontage roads which keep us off the highways as much as possible. Today we rode along the river for quite a long time, which was very enjoyable. We passed some fishing pull-offs, each with a distinctive name.

We had a wonderful dinner at a restaurant called Red Bird, in the old Florence Hotel. Yes - FLORENCE. How great! Joel had the Bison tenderloin and Shuli had the Moroccan spiced salmon. It was a nice end to another lovely day.
